Lindsey Stirling: If you are doing what you love and you stay true to yourself you are on the road to success, wherever that leads. Have fun and enjoy the ride! Why do you love playing video games? Lindsey Stirling: I think that, at least for me, they take me back to when I was a kid playing Mario Kart lol. I think we hold onto the things we loved as kids because it reminds us of a time when life was simpler, less cluttered, there was less to worry about, and all we cared about was playing games and having fun! I think that when we grow up it’s easy to forget how to do that because we are so busy working. Of course work can be fun too (I love my job!) and I know some pro gamers who sure know how to have fun! But there is something about childhood memories that make you hold onto the same things you enjoyed as a kid. Disneyland is the same way for me...if I could choose any place to vacation, it would be at the happiest place on earth! What are your favorite type of video games? Lindsey Stirling: I like “Super Mario Brothers,” “Mario Kart,” “Mario Party,” “Dr. Mario,” “Donkey Kong…” when I was young we had “Diddy Kong Racing” too which I liked. We had this old “Duck Tales” game that I actually beat once lol and of course I’m a big fan of “Dance Dance Revolution” and “Just Dance.” Lindsey Stirling: You know honestly I enjoy gaming music more than I enjoy the games themselves, mostly because I don’t have time for both... I think I would probably be a Starcraft kind of gal… What are your favorite gaming memories? Lindsey Stirling: Hmmm… fighting with my sisters over who got to be the princess lol XD. We used to laugh at all the silly sounds (like Mario jumping). Actually, lately I have a ton of fun playing “Just Dance” with my family when I’m home. Do you play video games while on the road touring? Lindsey Stirling: Yes! We like to play on the bus for our “wind down” time after a show, before bed. Only problem is sometimes we play too long lol.
